Office Chair Slipcovers

This is my latest office chair slipcover done for an out-of-state customer in Seattle, WA.

The customer sends me a picture of their office chair and I will draw color coded markings for each measurement I will need. She picked out two fabrics- one for the main body of the slipcover and contrast fabric for the piping and the back pleat insert. Then a back closure is chosen(bow, clasp, ties, button flap...). Finally a skirt style (ruffled, pleated, kick pleats...) and length are chosen. If you have a design idea I have not listed above that is no problem. You design it and I can make it.

The seat is secured underneath with velcro straps to insure the seat will stay in place. I pre-wash all fabrics in HOT water and dry on a HOT setting to remove the maximum shrinkage before constructing the slipcover. All seams are serged to prevent raveling.

Disco Flower Office Chair

I had fun making this cute office chair slipcover. My customer chose the Disco Flower pattern in Chocolate by Amy Butler. Be sure to check out all the great Amy Butler fabrics, they are perfect to brighten the look of any office.

Linen Office Chair Slipcover

Lately, I have been creating a lot of office chair slipcovers for out-of-state customers. Here is a picture of one done in a beautiful linen fabric. She wanted a no frills slipcover with no skirt.

My customer painted the bottom of the chair white for a total transformation. I love the results!

This is a slipcovered chair that currently adorns her office. We used the same ruching (pleating) detail on the inside back of the office chair slipcover.

Drop Cloth Office Chair Slipcover

I was very excited when I received an email from professional writer Kathryn Bechen of Kathryn Bechen Ink asking for an office chair slipcover. I had recently become friends with her on facebook after viewing her blog and website. She writes for one of my favorite magazines "Cottage Style".

Kathryn purchased a drop cloth at Home Depot and washed it several times. The fabric was very soft and had a great texture. She asked for an exact copy of a slipcover she currently had on the chair.

Here is the link to Kathryn's blog post where she shows her newly decorated home office.

Summer Market 2009

We ended up having great weather. It only rained once in the morning. There was live music, food, and some great vendors providing jewelry, art, aprons, headbands, beautiful custom totes, garden art, antiques, and much more.

Here is all of the furniture that I at my Summer Market booth.

Office Chair Makeover

I am in love with this office chair slipcover. I want to keep it for myself but this chair is going to be my contribution to the Avon Lake Summer Market Raffle. The Summer Market is scheduled for July 25,2009 10am to 6pm at the Folger home in Avon Lake.

Office Chair Slipcover

Turn your office chair from drab to fab in a fresh new slipcover. The slipcover is made so that it allows the chair to remain fully adjustable. I used Amy Butler's Nigella fabric.
